Going to do a little local shake-down run this weekend to make sure my new axles are good before the big Utah trip at the end of the month.


Trip Info

We will be doing the long back way from Butcher Jones (Suagaro Lake) to 4 Peaks Road, then cut across the 87 and run the shortest route from Upper Sycamore to Lower Sycamore. This should take 1/2 - 3/4 day, bring a lunch and water, we'll stop and eat around noon wherever we are.

I'll be bringing the 4 year old, so this a family friendly run. Pets are welcome if they are other pet and kid friendly.


Difficulty

This will be an ez 4x4 trip - examples of vehicles that would make it would be:
- a stock 4wd wrangler with all-terrain or better tires
- a 4wd cherokee with a budget boost and all-terrain or better tires


Meeting Location & Time

Meet at the Baja gas station, across from the turnoff for Fort McDowell Casino on hwy 87, just north of Fountain Hills.

Meeting Time: Sunday 9/20 - Leaving the gas station promptly at 8 AM - be there BEFORE 8AM please!

you can meet us at the Butcher Jones parking lot at like 8:15, the turnoff from bush hwy is just north of the Saguaro Marina turnoff and is clearly labeled "Butcher Jones Recreation Area" or something to that effect.

BTW, I think my whole family is coming (wife & 2 daughters). At least they all said so. I'm amazed, because they usually have something better to do than hang out with me. Like getting their nails done or somesuch.
