Talking Hello from Mesa, AZ!!
Hello from Mesa, Arizona! I have just joined up with this forum.

I have a 2008 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited JK since 9/2007. I have installed a 2.5" TeraFlex BB lift, ProComp wheels and tires (35"), BestTop front and rear bumpers, Olympic Rock Sliders, JKS quick disconnects, SkidRow skid plates, a Warn 8k winch, KC off-road lights and a Cobra all-in-one CB.

Future mods include adding OX lockers, regearing, roof rack and more!

Jeep Re: Hello from Mesa, AZ!!
Hi and welcome Pacphnmn.

I also have a 2008 Unlimited X (since July 08) with a lift and 35's, JKS disconnects, and the Cobra CB. Also looking to regear one of these days when the budget allows. With the current setup, and a six speed manual, I often stall the engine trying to go slow enough for even minor rock crawling. I currently have 3.73s and am trying to decide between 4.56s and 4.88s for the regear.

I just purchased a used transfer case out a a Rubicon that I'll be installing over the holiday break. The 4:1 t-case ratio should help greatly with the stalling.

Click on the picture (links to Webshots page) of the Jeep just after the lift/tires were installed.

Another pic of a trip to Box Canyon...

My name is Pete, by the way.

JKGoose, I too have the six speed manual (had to order it as everyone here in AZ seems to want automatics ), also running 3.73's but when I put it in 4Lo, I found I can pretty much crawl over everything and have yet to stall. I did stall when I first got it only because I had it in 4Hi. Have you ran it in 4Lo, as it has excellent low-gearing?

Pete
