I'm collecting parts this week and plan on replacing the radiator, hoses, belts, water pump, thermostat in my XJ this weekend. I don't really need help, but if anyone wanted to come over and help, I wouldn't turn you away. I've never done a radiator swap before, so an experienced hand would be appreciated. I'll try to take pictures and put together somewhat of a write-up. My upgrade plans are very similar to this write-up: http://jeephorizons.com/tech/xj_cooling.html
1-23-10 at my house in N. Phoenix. PM me for address and directions if you are interested. |

Bought the 3 core HD all metal radiator from radiatorbarn.com. I'm purchasing the rest of the listed parts at Napa.

D-U-N --- Done.
I didn't end up taking any pictures. I'll do a write-up later. No major issues and besides me being a slow as molasses mechanic, it wasn't a difficult task at all. Test drove it up to Cave Creek and back and all seems to be working as planned. |

Cool. Can't wait to see how the 3 core fit in. I didn't think it would fit. George

Plenty of room. Still have at least 3/4" clearance. Maybe more. I'll put a tape on it. There was one top plate that didn't get reused. It was built into the new radiator. Everything fit perfectly.

I'm anxious to see if it helps with over heating issues as I have some. My Jeep does, I mean.
