Camera Four Peaks Pick-Up 2010
I didn't get a a lot of photos because my hands were busy hauling garbage, but here are a few I got.

When we got there we went up to Area A to find Karen. We were going to begin there and work our way back down, but it was already really clean compared to Area B, so we got Karen and some other folks to go there to clean it.

Area B was not as bad as it was last year when we arrived, so I think that the Four Peaks Pick-Up is having a positive effect. There was not nearly as much garbage to haul out.

I failed to take a formal 'After Picture' of Area B, but George took this picture about halfway through:

There were a multitude of rigs and clubs at the main gathering area:

And a lot of new sponsors of the event:

A very large crowd this year:

During the Raffle the clouds got heavy and it sprinkled a little bit. I asked George to reach for my sweatshirt inside the Jeep. He went to get it for me, and stepped in dog-poop on the way. He gave me my shirt, and said: "Be careful where you step, there's dog poop over here". Me & Karen turned and asked him where it was so we wouldn't step in it, and asked him if he had stepped in it. He said, "Yeah, I'm going to have good luck for 5 years, I stepped in Dog Sh|t". (It's an old Czech saying).

Not 3 minutes later his Raffle Ticket Number was called. He won $1,000 in Icon Suspension Parts from SDHQ!

This is a test shot with my new Nikon CoolPics Camera. It took a few seconds to recognize the face, but then it realized it was John Hunter!

It's awesome to see that in 3 short years this event has gotten to be bigger and better, a lot more people out there helping, and obviously a less trashing in the area! I think the effort has had a possitive effect on keeping Four Peaks cleaner!

Oh, and congratulations George for stepping in Dog-Doo and the good fortune that it bestowed upon you.

Kudos on participating in the clean-up. I was on-shift and unable to attend. As for George, I guess I am not sorry if it netted him a $1000 gift certificate! I am going to go out in the yard and jump up and down in some pup-poop that my dogs thoughtfully left in the backyard this morning. Hopefully then I will get my dang D44 drums and perches I have been looking for!

No pics of Karen, she always makes me happy when I see her! How do you like the new cam overall?

Aw Grunt, How I miss you!!!
Trust me, with 2 dogs of my own, I thought the same thing...I'm going out back!!! I was assured that it doesn't work that way.

My raffle ticket was off 1 number from George's but close only counts in horseshoes. Must've been the dog sh$t that made the difference!
smiles, karen

Maybe this'll make you feel better Grunt; Karen next to Nena's hotdogs.

So far I'm lovin' the new camera, and was playing with it when I took this shot.
